China already has the world's largest fast-charging network, but widespread 5‑minute charging will require further investment. BYD plans to build dedicated Flash Charging stations alongside its dealer network.

For consumers, the Song Ultra represents a compelling value proposition: an affordable SUV with Tesla-like performance and recharge times that rival gasoline cars. The order surge suggests that when the price is right and charging is truly fast, the mass market will embrace EVs.
